Free Vibration Analysis of Rotating Beams Based on the Modified Couple Stress Theory and Coupled Displacement Field

In this paper, transverse vibration analysis of rotating micro-beam is investigated based on the modified couple stress theory. The simply-supported modeled utilizing Euler-Bernoulli and Timoshenko beam theories. system around a fixed axis perpendicular to axial direction beam. For first time, displacement filed introduced as coupled field translational field. other words, mentioned rotational expressed proportional function using (axial), second (lateral), third (angular or rotational) velocity factors. Utilizing Hamilton’s approach variational method, dynamic-vibration equations motion proposed model are derived. Galerkin’s method adopted solve equation corresponding Euler–Bernoulli beams. case considering shear deformation effects, Navier chosen. evaluation current results models, they compared with those available at benchmark. paper; effects slenderness ratio, axial, lateral, angular factors, rotations frequency reported. Based presented, factors should be counted in design such micro-systems.
